The nomination committee of Master Gardeners of Prince William (MGPW) recommends the following candidates for board positions. The vote is scheduled for 3/12/19 at our annual recertification meeting at 6:30 pm at the Edward Kelly Leadership Center 14715 Bristow Rd. Manassas. Please consider this to be the required notice of these nominations.
Candidate for MGPW President Maryellen Farley
Maryellen has been serving for the past 5 months as President-Elect of the MGPW board. She has worked alongside staff and board members to develop the strategic plan and job descriptions and timelines. She has worked tirelessly on the mgpw.org website, converting to a new, more user-friendly platform. Maryellen has served on a team of coordinators for the Dale City Farmers’ Market developing that service as a highly successful project for service to the community. She has been a Master Gardener Volunteer since 2011.
Candidate for MGPW Secretary Terri Anderson
Terri has served as MGPW Secretary for the past two years, faithfully recording meeting minutes, distributing them to board members and editing and posting them as a record of proceedings. She has also handled any requests for written correspondence from the board.
